This Thursday, October 15th, The Haverhill Education Association is sponsoring a School Committee debate at HC Media. Thanks to Frank Novak for inviting us to use his “Point of Reference” series as a platform for voters to see how the candidates will respond to some of the most pressing issues facing the Haverhill Public Schools‘ students, parents, and educators. Tune in this Thursday at 7pm!
Over the past several months many members and supporters in the community have been asking the Haverhill Education Association who we support among candidates for local government in the upcoming elections. It has been the position of the HEA not to endorse any candidates. Instead, we’d rather help our members and the voters of Haverhill have the information they need to make an informed decision on their own. Back in August, Lisa Begley and Anthony Parolisi joined Frank Novak on “Point of Reference” and discussed many issues facing Haverhill Teachers. Afterward, Frank to host a School Committee debate with the HEA as sponsors. Questions have been submitted by HEA members and reviewed by the Action Committee. In addition, members of the viewing audience will be invited to call in and ask additional questions on-air.
On October 1st, Frank invited every candidate for Mayor, City Council, and School Committee to his show for a 1-minute presentation to voters. 100% of them participated in this effort to keep every Haverhill voter informed. Please take a moment to view the video and tune in to the debate this Thursday, October 15th at 7pm. Most importantly, don’t forget to vote on November 3rd!
