HEA President Joe Cunha has proposed changes to the HEA bylaws. The proposed changes would increase compensation for the Secretarial Unit Representative commensurate with that position’s demanding requirements (and to make it equal to the ESP Unit Representative) and set the compensation for all officers to a flat amount that does not automatically increase with increases to the salary schedule. The increase in the Secretarial Unit Representative salary would be offset by a decrease in the salary of the HEA President. Additionally, the proposed changes would eliminate compensation for newly-elected officers “in training”.
