The MTA Affiliate Services Division is seeking applicants for the position of Summer Member Organizer (SMO) as a part of the National Education Association (NEA) Summer Program. The SMOs will contact, educate, and engage Haverhill members over the summer months. The program will include canvassing (door knocking) and some phone banking. The goal of our canvas program will be to engage in intentional conversation with our members. This program will work alongside a Summer Parent Organizer from Haverhill with the objective of deepening HEA relationships within the community.
The NEA Summer Program is a 6.5 week program, working 30 hours per week. The compensation for the NEA Summer Program is $750 per week and includes business mileage. We have already hired two, and are looking to hire one additional Summer Member Organizer in Haverhill. All HEA members are encouraged to apply. If you are interested, but not available for all 7 weeks of the program, you are still encouraged to apply. If desired, this position can be split between multiple members.
