Good Evening,
We are pleased to share with you that the Memorandum of Agreement Related to COVID -19 between the Haverhill School Committee and the Haverhill Education Association has been ratified by a vote of 336-152.
Negotiations have been ongoing for several months and have required patience, understanding and compromise from all involved. We are excited to be moving forward, hopefully to better times. We want to thank all educators – teachers, ESPs, clerks, and administrators – who contributed to this process. Your input has been instrumental to reaching an agreement that meets the needs of all stakeholders.
Due to the childcare issues that many staff are facing, the MOA does allow for teachers and ESPs to choose whether to work in the buildings or to work remotely on Wednesdays. If you would like to take advantage of this option, you may do so beginning tomorrow. If you do plan to work remotely tomorrow please notify your administrator tonight. The MOA is attached below for your review, with more details to come.
